I don't really understand why people group 'Europe', even aside from the West-East divide, cultural, economic and societal differences are incredibly big. Fools regularly claim that's no different within the United States, but obviously they have no sense of the degree to which those differences exist.
Every country has their struggles, really.

I suspect the most socialist countries that have been exposed to cultures other than their own are the least racist. The Netherlands, perhaps other countries like Norway are examples. But not Switzerland, which is socialist as fuck but pretty hostile to other cultures, and anything that LOOKS like it could be something from another culture i.e. brown people, black people.
Switzerland is actually fairly conservative. The last canton to give women the right to vote only did so in 1990 if I recall correctly. They also have a relatively small government. More importantly however, their direct democracy makes their country more sensitive to demagogues. Certainly, I wouldn't want the Netherlands to have anything of the sort given the bizarre shit people support when polled.
