Another thing about that trans topic: I starting to think many people on GAF purposely interchange sex and gender to suit whatever argument they are making at the time. The latest post is from a trans woman on the topic of disclosure; should a trans woman mention she is transgender, or should she say she is simply a woman. The argument made is that she should always say yes, I am a woman. To her, "trans" is simply an adjective. But sexually, a trans woman is a man. That's a scientific fact. So if a person were to ask her "are you male or female?" what would be the answer? Or if asked "were you born a woman?" what would be the answer?
As everyone knows, I have always used the proper pronouns when addressing trans people, and hold no ill will or negative views towards them. But this seeming case of waffling in multiple threads has baffled me.
