It was never going to end well for Devolution and Co.  The main purpose of the board is to make sure EviLore makes a lot of money.  So what do you do when you have a bunch of mealymouthed psuedointellectuals trying to make the board insufferable for the remaining 99%?  It came down to making money or letting the butthurt brigade run the board.  The answer was obvious and there was going to be a time where EviLore was going to put his foot down.  That time just happened to be today.

Good for him.  Now that he restored the search function and that butthurt culture is getting clamped down, I wish I hadn't given away my account to Wrath now.  I guess maybe I will use a couple of the alt accounts I had waiting.

They don't need to be but I think the lesson and direction is made pretty clear and probably will get permabanned if they pull that kind of shit again.  I don't expect the butthurt brigade to ever go away but now they have to walk on the same eggshells that everyone else does who is on watch.

Maybe they should try to revitalize WYL.  I bet they would be desperate enough to take in those people.

I always thought that when GAF talked about the "other" board, they were referring to OA. But I got bored and just started Googling and stumbled upon this forum and saw that so many well-known, but no longer active, GAFFERS were posing here and was like, "WTF...I thought everyone went to OA." I'm glad that wasn't (mostly) true. OA is a disgusting, loathsome cesspool of immature twits that randomly hurl vulgarities in poor, sad attempts at humor. Plus, Dr. Eggman posts there now, right? I mean, that right there should say it all. He's at home now. He really, really is. His posts on GAF were insufferable, IMO. He tried WAY too hard....in every single post.

Anyway, while I was banned, I got to reading this thread. Very entertaining. Not to resurrect dead subjects or anything, but Himuro...dude...that was probably the dumbest way to get perm'd (and it was totally self-inflicted). I was once banned for 3 months for not letting go of a thread (not the official reason, but my theory) and no fucking way would I re-enter that thread after my ban to finish grinding my axe. That was not smart, dude (and you still tried to justify it ) But if you still post here, I think you're a cool guy.

Also, Phoenix Dark, I learned that you're a pretty cool dude, too. I'm not sure how we haven't crossed paths (more often) at GAF but I always enjoyed reading your posts. Same with White Man...but I'm not sure how you guys let mods post on here, but whatever; you make it work (except for that one time....but I won't bring that up, lol).

Also, to certain people (who post here) who I may have offended by particular posts in particular threads (no, not the abortion thread), I sincerely apologize. Ever since my recent ban, I've been on an apology tour because the last thing I want to be is considered as offensive. That strikes me as hindsight praise/spin imo. Not long ago most of us agreed Evillore decided that an ultra PC forum would increase the forum's demographics by providing a safe place for women to open up; the nerd dudes will always post on a gaming forum, nothing was going to convince them to leave.
