What is going on in here?
Anyway, Devo wasn't long for GAF regardless of which way the wind was blowing, because she always made arguments too personal. I never liked having her on my side in a discussion because she made the discussion unbearable.
But I don't like this new shift either. I was seeing one half of GAF slide further and further toward Reddit-style nerdlinger creepdom in any thread on gender issues (there is a genuine men's rights activist contingent active there now), while a lot of good posters showed them why they were wrong and creepy. But then there was Devo, who was bound to cause a meltdown sooner or later, that's resulted in this thread, which has caused a chilling effect in the opposite direction of the "PC Brigade". I can't even post about it in that thread, because I'll surely be banned.
Well, I suppose it's a good excuse for me to waste less time on GAF.
