It's possible 2013 may have the next 3D Mario title, however.

Seems more likely the next big Mario would be 2014, along with Smash. HD Zelda in 2015.

Have absolutely no clue what they have lined up for 2013 but Nintendo does have a habit of announcing games months before they come out, so who knows. Time for the fabled-but-will-almost-definitely-disappoint-because-lol-Nintendo-online-yet-it-will-sell-gangbusters Pokemon MMO?

Or Mario Kart. It's probably gonna be Mario Kart. Still, that might be exciting because Wii U has better online than Wii, and MK Wii was rubbing up against those limitations in multiple areas. MK Wii was also supported years after the fact with events and trials, if they keep releasing new tracks and chars as DLC for a few years that might be pretty cool.

Actually, to make the droughts seem less dry they might do HD Collections. They did a bunch of rereleases of GC games for Wii and those were barely worth it, but HD collections... those would definitely be worth buying, depending on the game.

N64 suffered to an extent due to this, though they got tons more support than they do now. 64 and to a lesser extent GC were decent systems. The Wii is an atrocity.

I'm pretty disappointed in the impressions, as funny as they are.  Nintendo is not really pushing the industry forward like this.

which is funny because everything with the Vita launch was as smooth as could be, hardware wise.  It even had several enticing launch titles. My PSN account transferred with no penny pinching fuckery involved.  That OS is damn near perfect, just missing a folder system.   It's the price and follow up to that launch that are the problems.

$250 system + at least $20 memory card + game...could be cheap like PSN or $50 for Uncharted.
