Red Tails is a forgetful, mediocre film but it was inoffensive and fun with the family. I don't see how it's so mediocre liking it could be considered an insult.

Red Tails was pretty good.

I wouldn't say it was good, but Red Tails was harmless fun to me, sort of an old school WW2 movie in terms of tone. Didn't like the CG much though.

Ehhhh, the truth is probably somewhere more in the middle. After all, by 1943, new Luftwaffe recruits would have been exposed to ten years of indoctrination. That's going to do a number on anyone. Not saying every pilot was Hans-Ulrich Rudel of course, but they probably weren't just kids with relatively untarnished minds either.

It's crazy how demand constrained the Wii U is.  A cursory look at Target shows that over half of the locations in my area still have the deluxe set (and a couple more have limited stock, whatever that means).  This is the day after Black Friday.  I guess I'm glad that housewives aren't getting fleeced for $850 to buy a Wii U on eBay (the only real reason why preorders sold out in the first place -- to flip them for a huge profit) and can just get one in the store if they spend a few minutes online to see where they can get one.

Nintendo fans are definitely insecure now.  I think deep down they know that not everything is well and good.  That the sneaking suspicion that the haterz are actually right and it isn't part of some anti-Nintendo agenda that they are the poor hapless victims of.  A shame for them because I bet quite a few of them have a Wii U it prints money gif ready to be unleashed.

According to this year's Nielsen study the Wii U is second to the iPad in interest for kids age 6-12.

But for ages 13+ it falls off quite a bit.

it's funny how every popular subreddit has to have a "true" version these days. 

the lack of moderation is a real problem there.  The main subreddits need like 50 mods a piece.  but that might not even do anything because there's also a popular majority of posters in support of the dumb shit that many subreddits have devolved into (like r/pics and r/funny.) 

I lay the blame on an influx of teens.  apparently it's like the "cool" underground site, according to my 14 year old nephew.

I guess at the end of the day it doesn't matter too much, since I'm unsubbed from all the main subreddits.

reddit's structure basically ensures majority rule in any debate. it's a haven for the kind of people who need an ism to legitimise their values.
