To me this new policy sounds like a regression back to the PC ways.  You really can't call bullshit on a terrible thread?  And some posters are very predictable, or at the least it's predictable that a certain poster is likely to respond to a certain topic. 

If an OP can't handle as flimsy and blunt a challenge as "is this threadworthy?" then maybe it isn't.

I like that evilore is trying to cut out things to create more focused discussions, but he could spend the rest of his life identifying and banning all these little behaviors.  And you can't unring a bell, the site is never going to be home to 100% quality discussions without the nitpicking and trolling and whining and little sects that fight with each other or with the whole rest of the site, as so many people are invested in the subjective aspects of the site.

But I think it was good that he let it be known that that kind of posting isn't welcomed. Like I said in the thread, something stupid to one person may be interesting to many others (and vice versa).
