Unlike other sports related stuff, wrestling is a year long thing and it's built all around the story. You're bringing up sports, when professional wrestling are essentially theater albeit with higher stakes. It's such an impertinence and bringing up actual sports makes little, if any sense. It's like bringing up kung fu tournaments in China and how SO FAKE the new Tony Jaa film is when anyone GOING to that Tony Jaa movie knows this and isn't really watching it because it's fake.  More than that, as an actual sports fans - especially combat sports - I don't see how being a wrestling fan clashes with sports at all.

Comparing wrestling to sports is stupid. When I bring up NFL, it will be instant trash talking. But if I say,"hey, I like your Daniel Bryan shirt" and talk wrestling, we will be instant buddies. You misinterpret why people watch wrestling and can't get over the fact that it's not a sport, when no one in their right mind has ever claimed it was one.

Honestly I was just fine with ToxicAdams post and should have acknowledged as such, but after having taken the time to actually read and look at that, I conclude that my problem with identifying with wrestling is actually that its the gayest fucking thing in the universe. Not even gay in like a "i'm watching a Manowar video and there are a bunch of conan looking dudes in oil and leopard skin, huh, thats kind of gay" or even gay porn gay. It's like several multiverses of gay. It's gay on a gross physical level- its wrestling (coming from a dude who spent a year on a HS wrestling team). It's gay on an aesthetic level (big muscly dudes etc etc). It's gay in the way that it makes everything look like some kind of soap opera; like fucking Days of Our Lives starring a bunch of dudes on roids with chairs. And most of all; it's gay in that it's theatre. A performing art. There is no form of art more cock magnetic than that. ToxicAdam mentioned that there's an undercurrent of homosexuality to this. As much of an undercurrent as raging underground streams pouring thousands of gallons of semen into a gay sex aquifer full of gayness.

I think it's safe to say that wrestling might be actually the gayest thing on television. Is there gay porn on television on demand? I don't know. But what I'm saying is: I get it.

actually since ive been reading more seinen/mature stuff ive been really split on the manchild thing there. I read My Girl recently and found it to be very poignant. Ive started hating battle stuff in the past year and a half and I honestly think my decision to throw all those series away was a great one.

It's a pretty common thing. I hate derivative world-building too, which is why I'm not hugely into the genre, but there are some series that tell really great stories within a setting that isn't our actual world, and it gets annoying when people are instantly dismissive of it.

Sorry, but I've tried plenty of times to get into that Tolkien stuff, went to see the first Lord of the Rings in the cinema etc. For some reason, I just can't get myself to be interested in the whole thing. I like the beautiful shots of New Zealand and all that, but the actual story? Don't care at all. No reason to see the Hobbit or the other Lord of the Rings films after that. I'm sure Game of Thrones is quite different, but it doesn't instantly appeal to me as much as other shows that I haven't watched, so there's no real reason to watch that over those.

I watched some anime when I was a lad. That Street Fighter film and some stuff that had graphic sex. I tried watching Ghost In The Shell because of that fight in the water (saw some of it on Siskel & Ebert) and I couldn't get into it . It's like techno. Just ain't for me.

i know what he means though.  Begging for money is a big business in Chicago.  There are about 4 spots on my morning commute where there's a high chance of me getting asked for change and I walk about a total of one block in open air where I'm not on a bus or train.  And not by run down homeless guys, but dudes who have a pitch they repeat, which they've been doing for years since I arrived.  They've got normal clothes, shoes, they're showered, and don't seem desperate...I know you're not supposed to judge homeless people by how desperate they seem, but after years of seeing them do the same thing every day, it's clearly a job for them.  One girl had a fucking North Face fleece on and was begging with her gutter punk boyfriend.  There's a guy who hangs out at the entrance to the expressway with full camping gear, a camping pack with supplies for the day.

Doesn't sound very MS, nor recent Sony. I think most of the quirks will come from memory speed/bandwidth, bus speed and such not necessarily the destination processors be that GPU or CPU.

Yeah I think the 720 will have some new architechture that will set the tone and make current PC design flawed.

 I dunno I think if MS wants to dominate they will have to use some trick like this. Just come up with some new great and friendly architechture that's optimized for gaming.

This is different then Sonys approach with just making some random powerfull but flawed setup.

I can give you mine right now:

There is no "vs."

I just like games, so I play them in all available forms that I can afford. I would never tell anyone not to buy a console/handheld, or to buy a PC over something else. I would advise anyone to build a decent cheap PC in addition to what they already own. Or even just drop a dedicated card into an off-the-shelf system. Given the option, I'll probably always go for the PC version, simply because PC games drop in price quickly - better textures, higher framerate, etc are all just bonuses. At one time or another owned a (3!) Wii, a PS3, a DS, a PSP, a Vita, and a 360 during this past generation. I enjoyed them all while I had them.

PC isn't always better, there are unexpected hassles. I can't get Hunted: The Demon's Forge running to save my life. But the PC version of anything can almost always be found cheaper, you save a lot of money over time beyond your initial investment, and when everything is firing on all cylinders it's awesome.

I owned every single console since the 32 bit gen, I agree there is no vs, its just a title. I don't care what I game on as long as its fun.

Im just trying to give some people a dose of reality tech wise (I think).
