CM punk is listed as 6'1 220lbs but he doesn't look that big in the video.
They always exaggerate height and weight stats.

I missed most of TLC, but what I saw wasn't that good. The Cody/Booker and Sheamus/Swagger matches were average, Nash/HHH was boring, the TLC match was decent (Ricardo took an amazing bump), and I didn't watch Show/Henry because why would I want to see that. And to be honest, I don't like seeing Bryan cash in and get a cheap win either, because he still needs to be built into a legit main eventer. Especially since he's a face, he cashed in on a face, and in the past he talked about people cashing in and getting meaningless wins, so he doesn't look very strong right now imo. So I can only see this working out if it's leading into a heel turn.

But who cares, my boy D-Bryan is the world champ. My fave five are being prominently featured right now. 8)

edit: BTW, I didn't want to bump this when it came out, but the Shawn/Bret DVD is great. It's nice to see the two greatest of all time on good terms with one another for once.

They need to make D-Bryan into a Dean Malenko/Chris Benoit type character imo.

Why is this Bryan kid so popular among the IWC?

He's the best technical wrestler in the world. He's had a ton of great matches in ROH, and several in the WWE too (his match with Ziggler is probably his best so far I think). He's not bad on the mic either, I don't know how he got that stigma after he joined the WWE. I guess people automatically assume that great wrestlers can't talk, since there aren't many examples of them.

Couldn't find this on youtube, but here's his Bragging Rights match with Ziggler: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xkq2ah_daniel-bryan-vs-dolph-ziggler-wwe-bragging-rights-2010_sport

Both of them are so good. :bow

Roll-ups are like kryptonite to her. She gets beaten by women half her size via them a lot. But she is fucking fantastic in ring, as is her current posse bud Natalya (Neidhart, as in Jim The Anvil's daughter). Wish they'd have her and Nattie have opposing face/heel alignments so there could be an actual good diva's match but alas. Women's WWE is just in a holding pattern until Kharma (Awesome Kong) returns from being preggers anyway. And yeah, all of those champions are fuck awesome.

D. Brine did cash in early because of Mark's injury. He'll lose it before WM, probably at rumble. Then he'll win it back clean from Orton at WM.

LOL.  Bryan will be lucky if he's in the U.S. title picture at that point.

Are any of his matches on youtube?

He went by "'American Dragon' Bryan Danielson" before joining the 'E.  Would try that first.

Speaking of which...

I don't think the current product could be much better than this. Every single champion is actually talented and entertaining to watch. This is nearly unpossible.

Too bad it's still boring and bland as shit.  Nice to have a PPV with Cena getting the night off at least.

Didn't realize that guy used to be American Dragon.  Stopped following wrassling about the time AD started making indy waves.

King used to be a much better color-commentator.  Besides his stupid drooling-over-diva antics, he'd learn towards the heels and have some fun banter with JR.  He hasn't been in the same in a long time.

Cole is just being fed lines from McMahon and at this point should be a character (make him a manager or the GM or whatever) instead of a commentator.  A big problem is that he'll go 100% heel and turn the crowd against him, then switch right back to babyface-leaning commentator and sympathize with John Cena getting beat down before his inevitable superman come-back.

One of my fondest WWE moments was when Taz started doing color commentary as part of a feud with Lawler, and bellowing "That's a NAWTHEHN LIGHTS SOO-PLEX, MICHAEL COLE!" after Cole fucked up yet another call.

Hell, I liked Taz even when he settled in to the commentating gig, since he was genuinely enthusiastic about watching other wrestlers do their thing.  I remember during one particularly good tag match he broke character a little: "Man, it's great to see these guys working so well together... I mean on their own tag teams, against the others."  So cute.

The Slammys had like three minutes of wrasslin' in the first two hours.  It was fucking awful.

RAW tonight was more ZZZZZZZZZZ, but now Ziggler is the number-one contender for Punk's title.  Del Rio is out with an injury.  R-Truth came back from his drug suspen-- I MEAN BEAT DOWN FROM THE MIZ and attacked Miz at ringside.

i wasn't able to stay awake long enough to watch RAW but i've read the recap and watched the videos. definitely liking the direction they are going so far.

Kane being back into the picture. Kane is awesome
Brodus Clay's debut... what the hell. really hilarious
The CM Punk/Swagger match end seemed interesting.
Fuckin' Zack Ryder's marathon tire change sounds amazing to watch on tv. Ryder starts changing the tire > commercial break > still changing tire when return from commercial > cut to match with Cena/Ziggler > cut to Ryder STILL changing the fucking tire. God-tier comedy right there.

will def download and watch it tonight.

I think this feud ends with Cena ripping off Kane's mask and wearing it from now on. Then Kane get's shipped back to SD where he finally goes after Henry for putting him in the Hall of Pain.

Another thing I really hate is that they keep calling him the big red monster. What happened to him being the machine?
I thought the two were interchangeable and had been used off and on simultaneously but now that you mention it... Machine > Monster for sure.

I've been watching pro wrestling since I was three and have never been to a live event.

I am totally going to mark out.

i went to a monday night raw taping (this was before stone cold became champ, was just turning face, and was fucking with rocky before he became "the rock"), which was fun - but the camera dudes obscured everything, so we kept sneaking down rows to get a better view, getting busted, and sneaking back down again

the thing i remember most about the show was an announcement before the show that due to a family emergency undertaker wouldn't be there, to which we all started making jokes about undertaker having a family and what undertaker babies would look like

i also bought one of those big foam stone cold middle fingers, and a plastic wwf belt (which we then used as the "prize" in video/board game "championships" :lol )

later on that same year we went to a wwf house show, which tbh i enjoyed more than the raw taping because all the wrestlers clearly didn't give a fuck and were interacting with the crowd a lot more

I gotta imagine PPV's and house shows would be more fun to watch than TV tapings, just because so much time (commercials, backstage skits) is spent on stuff aimed completely at the home viewers and not the live audience.

I also went to an indy event at a church rectory center in Delaware which turned out to be awesome.  They had a battle royale event with some guy acting like Ghanaian royalty, rolling under the ropes so his manservant could fan him down while the others brawled.  Also had Jamie Noble wrestle a couple matches in an elimination tournament.

PS In an industry where they concoct a plot device to explain every absence or scheduling change, they cop to the Undertaker having a family emergency?  lolwut

I don't really watch WWE anymore, but I'm looking up some storylines to get caught up... Kane is back in the mask. And he has his old music. And he's fighting Cena.

I guess they really are turning Cena heel because Classic Kane is the shit.

YES, yes he has, and it has been glorious. He was in a six man tag main event two weeks ago where he got tagged in while Otunga was down, did some pandering to the crowd in the middle of the ring, then tagged back out and went backstage without having done a single actual move.
