Can't really see anything, but the artist seems different.

I'm so glad this is on the DS. If it were for the 3DS, I'd have a reason to buy the system.

I think they are just getting the funds for the 3ds version of it. The 3ds versions of the original devil survivor has voice acting for everything and one more day. Ill probably get the ds version and 3ds versions for this aswell to show my support for the game.

Artist is the same I think, but the enemies are designed by the Bokurano/Narutaru guy.

Anyhow, huge troll. Not even DSi, regular DS. 3DS is such a lolz system at this point.

If this has voice acting like the 3DS DS1, it'll be even more hilarious. But anyhow, DS1 is one of the best fucking games I've played in the last decade so I am hyped for this.

I don't know how you could interpret this as a troll. They are testing the 3ds water with overclocked and releasing a sequel as a surefire seller on an established platform. Keep the projection in check, mmm k?

That and "Action" are probably my favorite songs from DS1 (probably because I heard them 1000 times each). The game had a pretty good OST all things considered.

Culdcept Saga has a great soundtrack too.

Early details on Devil Survivor 2 have surfaced from this week's Famitsu.

As mentioned here earlier, Devil Survivor 2 is being developed for the DS. It's not to be confused with 3DS title Devil Survivor Overclocked, which is a remake of the first Devil Survivor.

Mysterious invaders known as the "Septentrion" suddenly attack Japan one Sunday. They make their attacks once a day from then on. It's up to a band of 13 demon summoners to deal with the attackers within seven days.

Characters introduced in the magazine include:

•Main Character
A third year student at a school in Tokyo. He gets caught up in all the happenings while on his way home from a test, and learns of his ability to summon demons.
•Io
A student in the same grade as the main character. He's a gifted student who's admired by others.
•Daichi
The main character's friend from childhood, and also a fellow student in the same grade. She's cheerful, bt doesn't think too deeply about things.
Gameplay will combine simulation with command battle elements. You'll be able to obtain new demons through demon auctions. One new system is the "Enishi System", which has something to do with your ties with your friends

Staff includes Kenji Ito on sound. Like the original, the main character designs are from Durarara's Suzuhito Yasuda. Mohiro Kitou is doing the designs for the Septentrion invaders.

Devil Survivor 2 is due for DS release through Atlus this summer.

and good job atlus! you knows your fan are going to buy the same game twice no matter what that you aren't even going to hide the obvious re-release at all or else you wouldn't have bothered announcing this after the 3DS version of the original devil survivor!

seriously it's like those final fantasy international version except worse,at least in those case only japan gets shafted

They could've tested the 3DS with overclocked and released DS2 much later, or better yet release the same game upscaled with the most generic 3D effect and people would've still given them a pass. This is definitely Atlus trolling us like they did with FES and P4.

The Invaders are basically the bosses of each day. The rest of the filler enemies have to be other demons.

Yosuke is smart and pretty much the "leader" of the gang in p4.

Junpei is an idiot.

We can do this all day and yet all the characters are pretty damn different.

I mean, Yukiko is hardly an introvert, Akihiko isn't even remotely a "tough guy", and fuuka and rise are so different I don't even see why you're bothering comparing them.

because they both cover the same role of being the new character that annoys you by telling you to "HIT THEIR WEAK SPOT" so that the old character that does that can actualy join your party and both ends up being option 3 when it comes to

if you are making a sequels with the same setting,the same characters,the same systems and the same graphics beside taking more money from the pokekids why bother at all?
