I'm more interested in CVX than the RE4 version because there are some notable upgrades like new lighting and a widescreen mode. But not for $20, and apparently the PS3 version is worse than the 360 one.
and Separate Ways isn't that bad. I didn't play it until the Wii version since I passed on the PS2 port, but it is what it is. A short, poorer designed campaign with less freedom. If you enjoy the core combat of RE4, and I do and it's why I like Mercenaries mode, you get more of that. Almost everything is recycled and it's only about 3 to 4 hours. You have no real choice in weapons or upgrades, outside of inventory size. It's worth checking out but don't expect anything near the main game's quality. I don't think Mikami was involved either.
Plus, if you want to unlock the typewriter, you need to finish it. Though if you want the typewriter in Separate Ways, you need to play Assignment Ada first. Assignment Ada was on the gamecube too and it lasts a couple minutes; pure action, also not that great, and no save points.
