Finished watching the rest of the game. Game goes on and on.
The final boss fight looked pretty nice and seemed like a good old fashioned sword fight. Final dungeon seemed kind of fun besides just being MORE RE-USE EVERYTHING.
I don't like how the story was pretty much terrible in this one. There are tons of cutscenes and TONS of Fi or BZZT npc talking, yet there's so little actual plot in the game. There are almost no characters besides Link/Groo and the villians are a joke. Ghiram is worse than Tingle and completely pointless, and

demise is a turd x 3 fights and then, Ganon precursor yawn
The antagonists have zero character development and the plot has like nothing going on to it besides UH, KEEP REVISITING THESE THREE PLACES BECAUSE YOU ARE THE HERO AND THERE IS A BLACK TURD SEALED AND WE GOTTA KEEP HIM DOWN. Compared to stuff like Wind Waker with lively characters and an developed antagonist or even TP, it's like they didn't even bother putting any effort. Which bugs me since

they decided to make the game the ZELDA ORIGIN STORY
Also the game just does not feel like an epic adventure at all because instead of traveling around saving the world of the sky and the ground, you kept going to a forest, a volcano, and an empty desert. Most boring world ever; not even worth saving. And what was the point of even making a sky world since the game does nothing with it? The Sky Temple in TP has more "woah, making using of flying and the sky" than the entire game of SS. I thought there'd be flying bird battles and pirates in the sky and all kinds of SKY stuff, but nope, just a big empty nothing to fly between 3 pillars of light and a boring town.
The dungeons are solid for sure, and dungeon 4 is spectacular. But there's not that many of them, and there is SO MUCH FILLER and the game is 15 hours too long and there is no plot motivation to keep progressing or gameplay motivation because you're just going to revist the same location in DARK version of SMOKE version of FLOOD version. ugh ugh ugh. And Fi never shuts up. Even in the ending she never shuts up. Worst Zelda helper yet.
I think there were good ideas in this somewhere and some good design mixed with the bad. But this really felt like the FF13 of the Zelda series. That the team struggled a lot and had no idea wtf they were doing for years. I'm going to be VERY weary of evening playing the next Zelda at this point. But I really do hope they can get their stuff together because a good Zelda is a great great game.
They should have the Mario teams make Zelda since Mario seems to be able to keep things fun and good quality.
