if they want to build interest, they'd be well-advised to open this up to everyone

i've already played a touch-based "platformer" (level?) which is just as good as any ios or android 99center i've played in the past, and it had absolutely zero sackthings in it, unrecognizable as anything lbp-related

i guess the biggest compliment i can give it, and the last thing i'll say (until they say we can really talk about it), is that i want to play more of it, and not out of any sense of obligation

I saw people posting elsewhere that Resistance multi was fixed last night, now offering public and private matches, but I still couldn't find a single match and didn't get that update.   :-\ Hopefully it's all working today.

Resistance demo is really long.  I started to worry that I bought the full game by accident  :-\

The demo is just a locked version of the full game- buying it just downloads an unlock key.

The price of the PlayStation Vita will be cut by €50 from June 1st, Sony has confirmed.

The platform holder is offering to rebate €50 (£39.87) on any purchase of a PlayStation Vita between June 1st to July 15th.

Crucially, it is a limited time offer that will not be available after July 15th.

"The PS Vita is the latest generation of handheld console and more than 1.8m have been sold worldwide since its launch,” SCE Europe VP Philippe Cardon stated.

“His innovations are numerous. With this offer we want to make it more accessible to the greatest number with the approach of summer vacation.”

MCV will reveal the UK pricing as soon as we have obtained it.

It's a blanket call for help.  not everyone in Metropolis yells "Help me, Superman" when they're hanging from a trestle.

Is it really? I only want it because it's an Acquire game.  Other than Kamizawa, Acquire's games have managed to make it to America or had translations from the Euro release.

There should be an update coming really soon. Apparently they did not test the game on the latest Vita firmware, which is amazing since the game requires the latest Vita firmware...

Patch notes:

 - Multiplayer connection issues addressed.

 - Game Mode now displayed at the beginning of each match.

 - The Host has more time to review end-of-match XP updates in party games.

 - Directly hitting and killing an enemy with the Hedgehog now credits you for a kill.

 - Increased initial loading times x 10

 - Added freezing after each MP match

 - Thought about letting you create your own matches, laughed heartily

 - Added possibility that while in MP a disconnect will load last saved SP level, because seriously no one here gives a fuck

I'm getting Gravity Rush in 12 days and both The Pinball Arcade and Zen Pinball 2 should be released soon. For the rest of the year there's DJMax Technika Tune, Persona 4: The Golden, New Little King's Story, Sound Shapes, Ragnarok Odyssey, Dokuro, and Orgarhythm. I'm hoping a few more games like maybe Killzone and the Final Fantasy X remake will make it this year. Overall I'll probably spend more time playing PSP titles on my Vita.

I agree with both statements.

The jaggies were jarring for a few seconds, but as soon as I started controlling Kat(?) and experiment with the controls/mechanics I forgot all about it. It's also sub-native res, but having the comic outlines give the impression that the visuals are sharper than they really are.

average MP when it works, with the exception of Survival which is pretty cool and reminds me of a custom rules paintball game my friends and i used to play

I just have to wonder if this is a by product of developers using PS3 for most of their Vita game development. Gravity Rush, Uncharted, and Resistance all began development on PS3 because Sony had yet to finalize Vita's hardware, and in the case of GR the game was originally intended to be a PS3 game.

other info:
•Its out same day as AC3 (oct30)
•Location is New Orleans
•Female assassin named Aveline
•Looks like same time period as AC3
•ubisoft sofia is devolping
•takes place during 1765-1780 in the period between the end of the french and indian war
•one of the bullet points is that it's "true AC gameplay"
•will not connect to desmond
•will have "multiplayer specifically tailored to the vita experience"
•"the game has been released as a propaganda tool by Abstergo, who want players to experience a gray area of the Assassin/Templar conflict as an assassin rather than a templar"
•Aveline's mentor is an escaped slave named Agate, leader of the assassins in New Orleans
•Wildlife like alligators "wait on the banks of the swamp or hide beneath murky waters"

I have no faith in the quality of this game because of Ubisoft's longstanding policy of making sure their handheld spinoffs act as just promotional goods for the console games. However, I'm actually surprised that AC Vita seems to have some original thought put behind it. I would've expected Ubisoft to pump out a "Here's Altair killing some more people with reused assets from AC1!" spinoff game that took place in some really, really obscure time space so no one gives a shit about. Granted, given this game is coming out the same day as AC3, there's a good chance no one will give a shit about it unless Ubisoft Sofia defy Ubisoft rule.

I don't really care for this franchise, but I'm pleasantly surprised at what we've seen.
