I can say I never purchased Symphonia or Baten Kaitos and didn't care for Phantom Brave Wii or Samurai Warriors Wii and something like Persona wouldn't suddenly become remotely interesting just cus its on a Nintendo platform all of a sudden.  The last time I had a figgurt hypocritical change of heart was Call of Duty 4 though.  One of the best multiplayer experiences ever, even when pared down for the Wii hardware.

... when did this happen? I think the most damning one is MGS4 - it's pretty clear that Xfugs want to bash it and want to play it at the same time.

Acts 1 and 2 are mostly great.  The game has fun stealth mechanics, but doesn't give you much of a chance to really use them.  Act 3 is narrative sequence, rail gun sequence, boss.  Act 4 is fighting brainless robots, bosses.  Act 5 is someone back to normal, then more bosses, and a fist fight.

Next reason why the 3DS is the worst system I've ever bought:

I turn on my system to get the free NES roms, I go to setup my wifi connection at my new place and it says 3DS WILL NOT WORK WITH THE SECURITY OF YOUR WIFI CONNECTION.  So I have to either turn off my security on my wifi and leave it open just to use online on the 3ds; not going to happen.  Will take the 3ds to a friends place and download the stuff there.  What a shit system.

What kind of security are you using WEP?  THe 3ds uses WPA IIRC, i had no problems.

Pretty sure it's been confirmed MGS2S is the version that comes with the HD collection, Snake Tales, VR missions included. Last I saw.

I dunno, sorry you took MGS4 so personally. It's just one video game. I'll tell you what though, growing up has made it really difficult to just sit through those endless fucking codec sequences in any of the series' games.

I finally got around to playing a 3DS recently (it was a demo 3DS with Dead or Alive).  I found the 3D to be completely unusable and I had to slide down the 3D within a couple minutes of playing around on it before it gave me a headache.  Once the 3D effect was gone, it was nothing more than a clunkier, more expensive PSP with a vastly inferior software library.

The samurai warriors game for 3DS is actually pretty good, worth checking out.

The last few days with my 3ds have been a mixed bag.  I adjusted to the 3d effect pretty quick and can go full slider.  Its nifty (the starfox 3d trailers are nuts).  I think the estore is a massive improvement over past offerings and theres only a few minor things that need to be addressed.

The battery life is terrible though, and its probably because the 3ds sleep mode has to be able to do spotpass stuff.  I know I could turn it off but I like the feature enough to be conflicted about it. 

HATE HATE HATE HATE the dpad placement and start/select buttons.  Its a pain to play 2d games with the slider, and using the dpad even moreso.  If I have to constantly change my mind how to best hold your gizmo you've failed ergonomics.

Pokemon Black/White is fucking amazing btw, folks.
