I actually haven't read the books after that point- I own the TPBs, even the once off ones like the Cinderalla one (which I did read and liked a lot) but yeah something about that arc closing makes it weird to go back. I will- just not right away apparently.

Yeah, I hate how Guy makes everything sound like it's the best he's ever eaten. At one of the places he recommended (Hodad's in San Diego), the boss actually became very good friends with Guy. I think he just wants everyone to like him, which is detrimental to giving an honest opinion or including the right places in his shows.
