Actually, my only beef with Nintendo is that they're so greedy that they're fucking themselves over, creating low value hardware and software that was once the cornerstone of some third rate Ubi Soft team. The Wii bubble burst, the Wii U's less than lukewarm reception, and the huge fuck ups regarding the 3DS could have easily been prevented if Nintendo didn't cynically bet that their customer base would be gibbering mongoloids who would just lap up whatever was pinched out for them because it had a gimmick.
Porting shit onto iOS isn't a bad idea. Nintendo could probably charge a premium price for stuff like SMB and rake in tens of millions. SMB would probably sell 10-20 million copies alone, probably far more than that if the cost didn't exceed $2 or $3.
Since they won't, I opt for the "trainwreck" option of letting Nintendo tangle themselves up in a string of hilarious failures. The 3DS second analog nub is a great step in the right direction.
