Anime can be good. I wouldn't trust anyone's word of medium quality who likes James Bond and Kingdom of Heaven
The thing that gets me is that these fucks always get riled up when you mention something like Grave of the Fireflies. They're all OMG IT'S NOT LIVE ACTION.
Just as animated movies such as Lion King are considered classic
movies, animes can achieve this level too. Castle in the Sky is definitely a Disney (in their good days) caliber classic. Princess Mononoke is like an animated Star Wars, and almost as entertaining. Spirited Away is a true work of imagination. Etc
