AW cheevs are pretty generous. You get like 800G for a playthrough and all the rest are collection based or ties to DLC. There is a maximum of 1500. Which I have.

Below is the first screenshot of the next Alan Wake title, a downloadable adventure available through Xbox Live Arcade.

Developer Remedy is promising a fully standalone experience for Microsoft's digital platform. Do you like the flannel look? You can expect more details to be revealed about the new Alan Wake on December 10 at the Video Game Awards show on Spike TV, MTV2 and Spike.com at 8:00 p.m. EST.

Be sure to check Game Informer's earlier reveal of BioWare's new franchise from this morning.

Why is there a Rage screenshot in this thread.

It's a metastatement about the performance of RAGE in today's market: projected sales versus actual sell-through, depicted as car braking method.

The upcoming downloadable installment of Alan Wake, rumored to be called Alan Wake: Night Springs, may be bigger than previously thought. In Xbox Live Director of Programming Larry Hryb (Major Nelson)'s newest podcast, it's revealed that the game is actually a full-fledged follow-up.

"I've seen the game. I've seen the trailer we're showing, and even though it's going to be a downloadable game, it's not a small game," said Geoff Keighley, organizer of the Video Game Awards, where the game is set to be revealed. "I mean, it effectively is, I think, Alan Wake 2 when you really look at it and look what they're doing with that game."

The game's rumored title screen, courtesy of XBLA Fans.

Keighley added that the game is "really ambitious, beautiful technology" and that "people are going to be really excited about it."

The game is set to be revealed at the VGAs this Saturday.

This has me more interested but then why not fucking call it Alan Wake 2 then.

XBLA is under 2 gigs, right?

is this going to be Games on Demand? lately there are more games going straight to Games on Demand like Resident Evil and Crysis.  Or maybe they'll raise the limit.

However, I think that since he invokes the "Alan Wake 2" name, I should reiterate what we've said all along: this new game is not Alan Wake 2, and if we intended it to be that, we'd have named it that. (I know he means it as a compliment, and I appreciate that, I just don't want there to be any confusion about it.)

god, I cant believe that people are excited for more Alan Wake. The first game was repetitive as hell. Go to the barn, shoot some shadow dudes ---> go to the lake, shoot the same enemies for the 200th time ---> Go to, blah blah blah.

it had great potential, but in the end it dragged. On top of that, you lost all your weapons after every chapter, wtf.

Alan Wake nailed its aesthetic. I didn't mind the running and shooting too much because it controlled really well - just felt really polished playing it. Also, no cover mechanic - this is a plus.

Getting from point A to B in a beautifully crafted world is what made it for me. The tech was just so damned impressive (Remedy :bow2).

And it is one of the better single-player TPS' this gen. Better than the single-player portions of any of the Gears games imo.
