Yup, just saw that article on ESPN. Only in sports does being a legendary coach outweigh the destruction of innocence that went on under Paterno's watch.

Let's not forget the program also had the most criminal charges and felonies amongst players for some time. Paterno is being praised for making boys men, but a look at his record shows otherwise. He turned a blind eye in order to maximize football wins with dirty players.

People can try to paint his legacy how ever they want, but the truth is that no one is ever going to think about Joe Paterno without thinking about boy rape, and he went to his grave knowing that. I'm not going to say that's punishment enough, but that's all the punishment he was ever going to get.

The coverage on ESPN is fucking disgusting, and a big part of why I view college football as a fucking farce. For fucks sakes guys, nothing this guy did as a football coach makes up for letting a boy raping monster waltz around campus for an additional 8 year or whatever. eh, he was a good football coach, and he seemed sorry for what he did. He didn't rape the kids. I'll let ESPN go on about his legacy. It's not like it wasn't predictable as hell. Plus, every time I turn on ESPN Radio they have made sure the public hasn't forgotten that he didn't report Sandusky assraping children.
