I've rewatched Hunter X Hunter, Bleach Naruto and Eyeshield 21 recently the Ninja war arc is such a fucking mess, like all over the god damn place.

As for Bleach, it ends so weirdly, I cannot believe how many filler eps there are for those two especially. I have basically just used filler lists so I skip that shit.

Hunter X Hunter is so good, cannot wait for that to return either. Although the Ant saga is such a weird way to end things lol.

Sometimes I think about Gundam Iron-Blood Orphans and how that was the last great anime I've seen and that was 2015.

Has there been a single anime TV series that's had a better story/ending than that in the last seven years? IBO was like the Game of Thrones of anime and I've never seen anything before or after like it which is part of why I love it so much even if it has a weak filler arc period in the middle. The last 13ep arc is just red wedding the anime.

I can't think of anything outside maybe sports anime where the main characters are heading towards a goal the entire story and then they LOSE and the ending goal instead changes to trying to survive the fallout of losing. That everything they've fought for and built towards is lost because instead of being tropey anime it's bitter realism like Game of Thrones and sometimes you make a bet and you bet wrong and that wrong bet costs them everything.

Works even better in IBO since they're mercs for hire, so the larger decisions aren't even theirs. They simply backed the wrong boss in the end and lose it all. It's really impactful and an awesome conclusion. The final showdown with the MC buying time for his friends to get out while the main gundam and him get shredded and they hold up his gundam's head in victory is really good.

Komi Can't Communicate is such a cute and hilarious show. A personal sleeper hit of mine.

I was worried about Jolene, but she's definitely a Joestar. Stone Ocean brings just as much weirdness and tension as any other season.

Finished watching Watanabe's Carole & Tuesday S2. It's no Bebop or Champloo, but it's better than Kids on the Slope and overall pretty much fine. It plays it incredibly safe in every aspect and its biggest issue is everything is pretty shallow but it's entertaining and feel good. Generally good character designs and art. Music was ok.

Also it starts to become a Gundam show at some point in S2.

Not gonna happen. AGE has no redeeming values outside some of the mech designs being alright (and therefore better used in videogames & gunpla model building).

I liked the characters, the art style was a breath of fresh air after so many Wing-alikes (Seed/00/etc.), and a lot of the ideas were pretty cool.

If it had come together really well in the third arc it'd be better remembered.
