Non-ost is easily Trainspotting.  Right music from the right movie at the right time of my life.

I'm surprised no one said Pulp Fiction yet. That soundtrack really opened my eyes to a lot of good music from years past that I hadn't explored yet.

I used to love The Saint's soundtrack, back in the day. But I was taking copious amounts of ecstasy and GHB and may have influenced my opinion.

Shit yes at Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid. Scene where Knocking on Heaven's Door plays is so good and I always thought "take this badge off of me" and "guns in the ground" and such were like really heavy metaphors or something but all of a sudden it made sense, it's about people shooting each other to death.

Also, the Under the Cherry Moon OST is pretty good, even though the movie is unwatchable.

That song is cut out of the director's cut completely.  And iirc, the song is played in that scene in a re-cut for DVD, but without lyrics.  Both cuts are vastly superior to the theatrical version otherwise.  The song's lyrics are probably too literal (which could be said of nearly every single song on the soundtrack), but I think it works better with them.

I have no idea now which cut I actually saw. I guess it must have been the theatrical one because I remember the scene with lyrics? But the studio cut is supposedly butchered and awful and the movie I saw was 100% brilliance. I don't even know anymore.
