Shit yes at Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid. Scene where Knocking on Heaven's Door plays is so good and I always thought "take this badge off of me" and "guns in the ground" and such were like really heavy metaphors or something but all of a sudden it made sense, it's about people shooting each other to death.
That song is cut out of the director's cut completely. And iirc, the song is played in that scene in a re-cut for DVD, but without lyrics. Both cuts are vastly superior to the theatrical version otherwise. The song's lyrics are probably too literal (which could be said of nearly every single song on the soundtrack), but I think it works better with them.
