3 Counter Strike games

It maybe wishful thinking, but I think there are good reasons that pc gaming will be great next gen.
Console ports have been coming to steam regularly to steam for the last couple of years and even though we don't have numbers they at least seem to nicely compliment console game sales or publishers would have stopped doing them now. Actually more and more games of even pc shy developers are coming to steam. Why should this stop just because there is a new generation coming? Tech wise the gap between consoles and pcs seem to be smaller than ever, both parts and power wise (somebody call me out on that if I'm wrong, this is at least the impression I get from reading about the leaks so far).
What could be problematic is if MS and Sony actually run with this no used games policy and the market accepts that without a change in pricing structure. I doubt that but who knows. Maybe then publishers wouldn't be willing to sell steam games heavily discounted like they are now. On the other hand no used games on consoles would probably mean that all budget sensitive games would go for for Pc so the market on the pc would increase. Other negative points could be that publishers hold back on pc ports because they want to accelerate console market growth (no idea if publishers would actually do this, you could also argue that they would need the pc market money even more as long as the console market is small) and that desktop sales in general are declining although that doesn't seem to have hit steam so far.
This is all different from the last generation change. Were there was no healthy economic market on the pc, were pc ports weren't a standard procedure in develoment, were pc shy japanese developers were more important.
The biggest threat to pc gaming is probably the console market bombing so that nothing to port would actually exist.
