i'm sure the next project is basically MH4G
MH4, even early on, destroys MH3G and i'm glad skipping it (despite buying it multiple times) made everything feel fresher, but truth is that it does feel a darn sight different.
I'm not rushing things - basically this is a 1000+ hour experience so there's no point getting too het up about progress. So far, 8 hours on the clock and the HR1 dosjaggi fight with base armour and weaponry was ZOMG ZOMG ZOMG ZOMG levels of brilliant. It's hard to put into words why it's so much better, but there was more cat and mouse chasing, the variable height adds a ton of different tactics, the Jaggi bolting through a column and smashing it was :O, my two cats jumping on it and holding on for deal life as it swung to throw them off.... droooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool.
Game is solid sold out in shinjuku, aki, shibuya and my local town. No second hand versions either. Places are pushing the download cards and people are gobbling them up (apparently most downloaded game to date already)
There's always a lot of fear for me with games like this and my initial reaction to this project was that there was a lot of ways they could screw this up, but as long as it doesn't screw things up from this point onwards? yeah - they nailed this +++. The already easy Story mode seems to have been made even easier (e.g. DosJaggi HR1 fight - 18 mins vs 2* story battle - 5 mins) and that's a good thing.
The biggest problem that the game as is the amount of text and the super annoying interuptions up until a certain point in the game. But hey - even that's shutting up. Plus no forced weapon tutorial! Huzzah based capgods!
Can't stop thinking about it... want to get my hunt on.
