I guess it's more convenient for the consumer, but say good bye to buying points cards on sale / with coupons / etc

ps3 has cards and has used real world money since day one. 20 dollar card costs 20 dollars, for instance.

Cash cards can still be bought... TRU does a random sale sometimes on cards, which includes PSN
