Has that been confirmed?  If that supposed leak is true, they'll have SW Squadrons as well.  Will be super pumped for boffum!

Strikers is a lot better than I was expecting. It's a straight up sequel to vanilla P5, more in the line with Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity than the shittier Musou games Omega Force have pushed out.

I'm still bitter about that awful Berserk game they released.  :gloomy

Is Strikers good if I'm a dingdong who likes quasirepetitive hack and slash like Ys, but hates Mussou

It's still a Musou game at it's core but with a lot of Persona mechanics. You can pause the combat and use MP for elemental attacks to demon hit weaknesses. There are all out attacks. Your demons level up, the velvet room and demon fusion is still a important aspect. You can switch between your 4 party members at any time and they all have a different play styles i.e. Ryuji can charge up his attacks, Yusuke has cool Vergil moves.

I'd recommend it to most that enjoyed P5. It's essentially a sequel to P5 in terms of story (it mostly ignores Royal, unfortunately) and it does a good job at transferring the turn-based P5 combat into an action game.

...but if you're burned out on Musou, stay away.

Ghostrunner is a good catch. I would never buy it, but I'll happily give it a try when it's a freebie.

PS+ every month is like "why do I pay for this"

Then I'm like "oh yeah because otherwise I can't play online games on PS5"

Enh. It’s, what, $5 a month? It’s worth it to have an appliance level gaming device with generally non-hacked playing environment. The games are just a benefit.

The other thing is, if it’s not an active subscription, your previously claimed PS+ licenses lapse.  :-\

Is Tsushima Legends the extra island DLC?
It’s the online multiplayer, without having the single player content. Like Red Dead Online has also launched as a separate SKU.

For people who were thinking about playing Ghosts but haven't yet, this may convince them to buy the full version. It's pretty smart from a marketing perspective.

I hate marketing.

Yeah, not a huge fan of them giving you a piece of a game on PS+.

Read all you want, what I'm taking away from this is Sony's DOUBLING the price from $60/year to $120/year ($10/month) for their current features. Haha, LOL, no. Thanks, I'll be letting this service lapse once the current term runs out. Byeeeeeee~!

Looks like June 14 is the last day to grab the free GTA Online, native to PS5. The game has a Red Dead style landing page which allows players to play GTA Online or the separate, paid Story mode. There's also GTA Plus, which gives perks to players including GTA$ and such. There's gotta be a term for milking a title for this long. It's remarkable.

It's still $60/year if you want online gaming and the monthly freebies.

$120/year is if you want a collection of games to choose from (to stream or download), similar to PS Now.

If they're not offering 1st party games at launch in the top tier package, there's literally no point getting it and just stick with the regular ass $60 tier... if anything.  At least their PS1 and PSP emulation should be better than how Nintendo has handled their Expansion Pak games...   :doge

Ack, how did I miss that?

The original article I found only shows the $10 monthly cost but, when I couldn’t locate that article again, I just linked the Sony one without reading it properly. My bad.

You could still argue that the service provides poor value compared to other services. And the messaging and communication about the tiers has been abysmal.

I saw that PS+ monthly games for classics tier includes:

Quote

People talking about if they can class action sue Sony since people are paying for a tier that is supposed to provide classic games and there are none being provided at all. Idk if that would fly (probably not), but yeah the more fire under Sony's ass for this classics tier the better. They seem like they were woefully unprepared to launch a classics tier and it was just thrown in at the last minute.

The other tier that's just game pass is ok. Getting Trials of Mana which never seems to go on sale under $25 and the rest of the Yakuza games so it's fine. Not that I'd subscribe for it still. But if I did to play Stray/Trials of Mana and a few others for a month it wouldn't be the worst value ever.
