I seem to be dying lately as opposed to almost never, not quite sure why. Lvl 19 Wiz near the beginning of Act II, what skill y'all use/used?

Do not ignore +Vit, Life Leech, and Regen. You NEED to be passively refilling your life during combat and not just depending on potions to survive.

re: bosses, they're not the best, but they're DEFINITELY better on Nightmare+. On Normal you can usually kill them before you have to learn their patterns. No such luxury on higher difficulties.

Just got this today, still early Act 1 (just beat Leoric/Skeleton King).  Love it so far and not an error in sight yet, seems waiting a few days to buy it was a good idea Though they did switch off the server at one point, but only a few mins and a warning came up beforehand.

sometimes I'm salvaging weapons and I get a yellow tooth material saying it's from deconstructing rare materials.  Is that by chance or am I destroying good stuff? They're didn't seem good, at least.

Seems random to me, at least with magic (blue) items. I haven't salvaged any rare (yellow) items yet, though. I assume salvaging a rare (yellow) item would automatically give a yellow tooth?

Every time I've salvaged a yellow item, I've gotten a tooth.  Granted it's only been about 3-5 times I think, but yeah.

I think I'm missing something about 2 handed weapons.  All the 2 handed weapons I get have the same DPS as my 1 handed weapons, so why would I use a 2 handed one and lose the defense of a shield?  Is the DPS actually doubled with 2 handed weapons?

Yeah, I dont underatand this either. Can any WoW nerds explain it?

Have never played WoW (1 hour of WoW at best) but here goes explanation by example

2 handed sword hits for 50 damage but can only attack every 2 seconds = 25 damage per second
1 handed sword hits for 25 damage and attacks once every second = 25 damage per second

Now how you choose to take advantage of this is up to you, for me I can see the 2 handed sword being better if you tend to get in make a hit and escape promptly.

Finished Nightmare mode. It's way more fun than Normal, that's for sure. Hopefully Hell is even better.

My weapons aren't all that great as I haven't had much luck with drops, but I still get around 1700-1800 DPS with my Breath of Heaven buff, so that's good enough I suppose.

Nah, you should build a char to your playstyle. If you tend to beast it i'd say make sure your str and vit is up to the task.I play demon huntress so im always zipping around, even when playing other chars i tend to be all over the place positioning objects in the way of me and enemies in a way where i can funnel them or do a lot of damage before they reach me. I've just always played this way

Later in the game you'll find 2-hand weapons that do significantly more damage than one hand weapons. And like in WoW and other games, you can use gems and item stats to increase your attack speed

Damage mitigation/avoidance is key later in the game. Obviously as a Barbarian you're going to be doing a lot of up close n personal combat, but you can stun enemies and re-position as well. I love using Hammer Of The Ancients to knock enemies back (Rolling Thunder rune) to keep them off me and my group members. You can kite bosses using it as well, which rocks.

Has anyone messed around in the Auction House? I tried searching for some low level stuff but it was all waaaaay over priced. People were listing things for like 100,000 for level 20ish stuff.

I got a badass crossbow from the AH for a mere 5000 gold through buy out that about 8 points higher than my current bow, had a slot for gems and now (with a gem included) it is 10 points above what my last bow was and that's not including bonuses.

Beat the game at lv31 with Viz and the master of tongues himself, Treesong. Pretty awesome stuff bros. I really like the pace of Act IV although I wish it was longer

Jumped into nightmare after that with Viz. At first I was like lol, this is easy as shit. Then we got to a few mini bosses and exploding mobs that created just the type of challenge I was hoping for. Can't wait to see more

Barbarian+Wizard seems like such a perfect matchup. It's like the Hulk tanking for The Silver Surfer

Tonight was the night where my all attack, shitty defense Barbarian whose always struggling to survive each mob because UNSTOPPABLE TANK VIT+++++++++++++ & HP regen & HP leeching...+ all attack. 

So much fun smashing stuff when you've got a ton of HP regaining non-stop so you don't have to worry about health.

Also had some fun time playing with QuietID.  It's great when you find a party that's all around the same level.  Fun fun fun.



And this game is so good!  I love how it's just non-stop variety in the locales instead of one dreary floor after another.  The non-stop chatty chat dialogue while you're running through dungeons makes the SP a lot more lively.

So I've been taking the advice here and upgrading my artisan in the desert town.  He's around rank 3 or so and I've been salvaging all my blue/gold stuff I'm not keeping.  But I haven't had him build anything yet because none of the stuff he lists is better than my current gear.  Any reason I should have him build things?

Diamond skin in there saved my ass so much.  Same with ice blast.  So i have both since i use elective mode.  Iceblast > diamond skin > iceblast.  That is like 15-20 seconds where the enemies cant do shit to you.

Thats jsut me though.

Better; the server status page lists the servers as up, but trying to log in informs me the servers are down for maintenance.  So...yeah
