Is it hard getting all the gold skulls Sho Nuff? They're the only ones that sound like they could be tough, and the total time under 3 hours one.

Multiplayer ones look pretty easy to boost but I will definitely try my hand at getting them legit first.

Oh, and is there local co-op?

Kinda unfortunate that MS didn't give an earlybird discount on XBLA too. I don't mind paying 1200 for a quality title, but I have been seen a few posts from a few salty xbox fans. Mainly just cunts on the achievement sites, and achievement whores are actually the whiniest little bitches on the net. So it's probably no big deal

The Gold Skulls are tricky but they are doable. The total time under three hours is totally achievable. Note that the counter does NOT count time spent watching cutscenes and the AI turns. (Actually, lead designer Jake and lead coder Borut are currently heading up the leaderboards with ridiculously short speed run times, maybe about 2 hours 15).

No local co-op for story mode, but you can do a team deathmatch against 2 AI teams.

Played the first mission, this game is pretty sweet so far. The mouse and keyboard controls work well but it definitely feels more ideally suited to touch or a controller (especially since the tutorial text keeps referring to tapping things). nitpick, I wish this game had a live tile in Start showing your progress or whatever like some other win8 games. it is kind of a gimmick but I just like having a block of games all displaying progress, it makes my game collection more visceral or something. and like everyone else I can't seem to log into xbox live (related to it still being before the official release date?) other than that, digging it!

yeah it's a tough game so far!

I just beat the first world and got an achievement.... I can tell some of these Gold Skulls are gonna be pretty rough lol. I got a few already, but just missed one of the "beat level without losing any units" ones by a thread. Grrr. Thankfully you can restart from the last level checkpoint and it doesn't void the skull! I note that you can save the game anytime too, should help with the tricky ones.

My plan is to blast through single player and get good, then jump online.

Thanks for the great game, Sho Nuff! Really getting the Advance Wars Vibe, plus a bit of Valkyria Chronicles mixed in (in terms of the set number of orders per turn, set amount of unit movement before and after attacks etc.) The writing and humor is spot on also. The tutorial messages are really well integrated with the dialogue, which is a real nice touch and the learning curve seems just right. I really like how the animations of the characters reflect wether or not they'll counter and how the life total give and take is displayed on their flags. Heaps of polish and nice little touches. AAA tier product here

Easy Mode lets you get the Gold Skulls but some cheevos will not pop according to our lead QA guy

Up to World 3 now. Managed to get 2 Gold Skulls on 'Pink Pursuit' WITHOUT EVEN TRYING (no units lost, beat level with General as a demon)

This game is HARD and SCARY. I don't often get intimidated by games but this one is pretty darn tough! I was never that good at strategy games.

This doesn't seem very helpful. But I had restarted map 3 a couple of times (checkpoint restart), suddenly noticed that my units weren't moving like they were supposed to. Restarted the map again, made a couple of more moves, then boom, crash message
