Well, this is a momentous event: the first day I went to look at the steam daily deals and did not see a game I wanted to buy. Anyway, I'm done with the Steam sale.
It kind of pissed me off how people picked Age of Empires 3 Complete, which was already on sale, over Kings Bounty Armored Princess. It would have been $5 if that game won. The Last Remnant should have won instead of picking games that already had flash sales. Fuck the voters. I am glad that it seems like a lot of people bought both Ys titles. It's nice to support XSEED because the publishers who put out semi-obscure Japanese games have dwindled down to almost nothing. I hope they continue to bring out Falcom PC titles in the future.
There were a lot of games out there that I withheld pulling the trigger on, such as the Crysis Collection, because you know you can get it for half the asking price of this sale for this winter or next year's steam sale.
Overall I wound up buying or was gifted 71 games on this sale. My credit card information shows that I spent $228 (not counting games I gifted to people), which comes to about $3.21 per game. Pretty kick ass.
I'm going to be creating a thread where I go through my backlog. It will probably end up being a cautionary tale about going nuts on Steam sales.
Thanks to everyone who gifted me games, I really appreciate it. It was very nice that this community gifted a lot of games to each other.
