so, just like Expendables Uno, its not quite as good as you'd hope but still provides a good time.

a relentlessly cheesy, machismo-addled, cornpone, and weirdly sincere good time (just like part 1). Its well worth noting that the action scenes in this are shot and staged much better then in the preceding film. Visual clarity, I dig that. It makes it easier to appreciate Randy Coture slinging around people like rag dolls and Statham's knife porn.

Saw The Expendables 2 today. It was a lot of fun...more great 80's style action...and not much more to say.

kinda surprised by all the praise tbh. i enjoyed the first movie a hell of a lot more. this was silly in a bad way and none of the jokes worked. there were a few good parts (Van Damme, any fight with Statham, the final fight was OK)

but the action overall kind of fell flat, the one liners were corny, and i felt bringing in Arnold/Willis/Norris actually was a detriment to the movie. didn't really like it all that much
