One of the quests in Novigrad reminded me about how the original stories ended. Made the next couple hours quite melancholic. The way they extended it and then more or less repeated a lot of the story beats in the games is weird. I dunno, knowing that stuff makes it kinda weird. A re-write would have been easier to swallow for all sorts of reasons.
There's this quest with having to clear out a manor at some point.
Came across this giant wood monster with horns that somehow wandered into the area. Was like fuck it, he's almost 10 levels above me but slow enough for me to take down.
Beat him down to 50% health then he summoned wolves. Motherfucking level 22 wolves at my 10.
Couldn't do it.
I did the exact same thing. Figured I could just repair my sword halfway through and keep going. High level wildlife is no joke.
There was a similar instance with two Wyvern nests. I was strong enough to beat the two, but then a Royal Wyvern showed up which is part of a contract and promptly ripped me to shreds. The area was part of a contract I already knew about but put aside because it was too high level. Woops.

I wish you could just craft the improved versions of armours instead of having to (re-)make all preceding versions first. Their level restrictions make it seem like you're supposed to switch through the different school's equipment, but then you'd have to lug around several sets just to conveniently upgrade to the next tier. It's really annoying the way they leap frog.
Also I have these superior crossbow bolts that I can neither use nor sell to anybody I've met so far. They're surprisingly heavy (12 something for 80 of them), so I wanna get rid of them but I don't want to just throw them away.
