Promised myself just to upgrade some pieces of my feline set last night, ended up doing 3 quests in between

Now I want to push to the end, but I see I have unfinished secondary quests that are semi needed to proceed.
Guess thats another 5 hours at least righ there.

Im not even trying to explore, so much stuff left for me to discover later.

Hard to see this game being topped soon

One crucial tip for everyone heading to end-game: When an unspecified person tells you to get ready and drink your potions before the final confrontation, do not drink your potions. The effects will disappear once you're in the thick of things, so wait until you're actually fighting.

That pissed me off so much.

It's easy to go sign heavy because you get so many blue mutagens. I have 2 of my trees all blue. I haven't spent a single point on alchemy. Maybe I'll try that next round.

Poisoned blades and the one below are wonderful. The poison seems stronger than any bleeds you can get (I think it scales off of the quality of the oil) and resistance from the monster type's damage is a no brainer.
The one that gives you flat toxicity for every alchemy recipe you know is amazing too. I maxed it out, which allows me to use two decoctions (counter-intuitively claiming to take 100% toxicity) and my regular defensive and offensive potions on top, with enough room for a swig of Swallow.

I never ran out of alcohol, actually had to sell it here and there because it was piling up. :yeshrug Don't think it'll be a problem, don't need to go all out every encounter after all.
Gathering the recipes is a pain though, true. I'm still missing a lot of superior oils and potions and I've done everything. I found the superiror spectre oil in a random chest on the wolf school treasure hunts. :beli

I could spec into a sign or alchemy build right now, the druids sell respec potions (even Keira does), but there's nothing left for me to do, so...

Haha, yeah. That's where I lost it. As the player thinking about how Geralt should react, I was about to respond "Lambert, I think you've had too much to drink." But I was so amused by the whole scene that I was just thinking "let's run with it." And I loved the delivery there for "Lambert, you're a genius." I also loved "put on the dresses."

Finished the video game. It's one of the best i've ever played.

Fighting the urge to start another save file.

I lost that battle, about 10 hours into another playthrough. Taking this one all leisurely though. Gonna do different armor sets, choices, etc.

This is probably one of the five best games ever made. You guys know I'm not one for hyperbole (well, positive hyperbole anyway, I will shit all over everything) so please believe me. Love the shit out of this game.

Finished it last night, Ill agree with Esch and Triumph this is one of the best. Not flawless as the combat and xp/level progression can use improvement but seeing how the series improved since Witcher 1 is boggling. I hope they can continue this upwards trend with Cyberpunk but it will be tough.

CD Projekt has set the bar extremely high.

About my playthrough, dont like all the choices I made but I dont know if I can play it again, will prob play more when the expansion comes.

Weapons up to par? Decoctions? (I already forgot all the names... Troll is nice for HP regen, Archgriffin is health on stamina spent, I think? Whichever it is, that's good too, since you'll be spending your stamina constantly. Paired with stamina regen of any kind, even better). Thunderbolt?

I was level 34 at the end and didn't have too many problems with him- the strategy that I used is use Quen (shield) and then just dodge a lot, stopping only to get 1, maaaaaaybe 2 hits in at a time. It takes a long fucking time but it's safer that way. Standing there and wailing on him is not an option, really.

Archgriffin decoction + accelerated stamina regen makes any fight ezmode, even on death march. Or poison/bleed on susceptible targets.
