That kind of makes sense. To learn more about something you're interested in, you'll try to fit in with people who are well-learned on the subject and so you might pretend to know more than you actually do.

Kind of like when you can tell when somebody just had sex for the first time if they like to talk about what technique they use and whatever.

i dont get whats going on.

It's something I literally learned about yesterday: using the "email" tags to hide messages within your posts. Apparently, the user in question had been doing this in 99% of his posts (and the only way to reveal his hidden messages was to quote him). So...the mods gave him a tag. It went something along the lines of "We know about the creepy messages in your posts. Stop it". And yes...they were indeed creepy. 

But he kept doing it.

So now, the only way to read his messages, ironically, is to quote him (or click the post link). His actual posts are hidden (just like his creepy posts were) and have been replaced with the comment "We warned you".

I didn't even know of this user before yesterday. But you can just go through his post history and click the quote button to reveal some of the things he posted. I was just clicking random posts

There is literally something creepy in every single one of his posts  (at least going back the last 10 pages of his posting history. I tried to find out when he first started, then got bored and got back to my homework )

I found one where he was quoting parts of that Linkin Park song  (edit: "Crawling")

EDIT: Here's one. In a thread about game reviews/ratings, he inserts some nonsense about testicles. lol (OK, I see it's a reference to his post about "balls", but still....heh)

Me too, but only because I was sick of RE by the time 4 came out and didn't even give it a shake.  Bought the Wii version cuz there was nothing else to buy for the Wii.

It was an awesome version, but it didn't take long for me to realize what a mistake I'd made not giving it a shot before.

I agree, but I don't feel bad about it because the Wii controls are sublime and it has the PS2 content + GC graphics.

i can appreciate that it is a good game, i just wish it were a little less of a pain in the ass to play


i had the same problem with God Hand, except i stopped about an hour into that.

I actually hated the Waggle controls. Made the game far too easy. The game was designed with controller/joysticks in mind and balanced that way. And really, I can't understand Dave's complaints but that's probably because I've played a bunch of shooters on joystick/controllers for ages now. So 4 was just another one to me with the only difference being aiming on left stick instead of right and no movement (as per the series norm).

I'd say by 6 I was tired of the series as Oscar said. But that's mostly because of the direction they took the series in. If 5 was as paced as 4, it could've been amazing. As it was it was okay to great. 6 was just terrible all around. Changing too much stuff and adding too much stuff to that change that wasn't needed to the point where I don't really care about a 7.

Kinda like Ass Creed did with 3. I was all over 3 and bought it day one, which wasn't the norm of the series for me but I enjoyed the hell out of the previous titles discounted and figured "why the hell not?" The buggy piece of shit while tolerable wasn't good or even okay. It was just bad and made me leery toward giving 4/Black Flag a chance.

The game still has difficulty modes, and I didn't think it made the game too easy at all. But I might just be a scrub.

Wii versions ruins any sense of difficulty in RE4.

I have to really, really try to get all figures in RE4 GC and 360. On Wii I got them all on my first run through the game.

You have to beat the game to unlock professional, and the game is only harder in the sense that ammo is more scarce on professional, making you conserve ammo. Considering that the pointer controls make aiming already easy, the wii version professional mode is still a piece of cake.

I am still mad Capcom didn't put RE4 HD on pc. I can play all the games in my top 5 in high definition on pc. All of them except RE4.

GC controller is the best controller for RE4, I think. It was practically made for the thing. When I played 360 version I had a hard time adjusting to the fact I wasn't using a big fat A button. Add the triggers, you're made. I think it's one of the few games that felt like it the controller was made for its existence. Fantastic controls in gc version.

I've played RE4 with a gc controller, ps controller, wii controller, and 360 conrtoller and none of those came out on top of the gc.

My least favorite RE game of all time; it effectively ruined the series for me. And I've played (and beaten...multiple times) every proper RE game since Resident Evil 2. I remember buying it over Christmas break when I was in college. I played a little bit....then slowly lost interest. I was not having fun. I tried to get back into it when the semester started, but I felt like I was forcing myself. So my roommate finished it for me (he's a GAMER gamer and will play just about anything)

And it felt so weird reading all of the stellar reviews it received. I dunno....it just didn't "feel" right to me. :-/

For the first 6 levels, I had no idea that you could run. Once I realized that, the game became significantly better.

Yes, which is the only saving grace for that version. But it's too bad you have to plug in the controller after going through the remote controls for the system OS to get that. Nintendo OS design.

  No, that's the Gamecube version. The only thing PS2 added was Seperate Ways and a new outfit (good for Leon, bad for Ashley). Oh and a new weapon that really wasn't any different from the Chicago Typewriter.

Yeah, to me it isn't in the same league as 1-3. But after playing 0, Code Veronica? It was a breath of fresh air in the fact that Capcom didn't have any good ideas going for the "story"/enemies with the older gameplay. So a new perspective and gameplay was good.

The problem is: Capcom never evolved past that and with Mikami gone you get... 6.

But yeah the village with the highpoint for me. But on replaying it? I started to enjoy the "cheese" and the game came into it's own for me.
