Not the way I wanted Blackace to be demodded. But people going "oh well Blackace lets it slide..."
Yeah, that's the problem. It's fine that some communities get away with murder when moderators are actively posting there, but then you get into the issue where third party mods that don't post there come in, see it as (what it should be) a posting/board violation and start to ban over it.
Hasn't Kagaruu pulled a load of shit and even caused some trouble for GAF that Lore has let slide? But he demods Blackace for unlocking a thread?

he broke rule #1: he defied evilore's decrees. probably he's being blamed for the state of the thread because he was the mod that was supposedly watching it. but in the end, it doesn't matter. it's the fate of all mods. sooner or later, el will get annoyed with you and push you off the bus. now all that remains is to see if blackace has the self-respect to walk away or if he'll continue to hang around there denutted like amirox and sporks.
Well, yeah. That's part of the issue: Some community threads have moderators and some don't. The ones that don't, don't get that "free pass" in some questionable bannable stuff while others do. I'll say that in some threads that Blackace posted in, he'd let things slide a
little too much. Like Bish in race-relations threads going lawn-mower over some clueless posters.
Wouldn't this have been avoided with a cursory glance at gucci's post history and a ban for pettiness? Then a warning to NBA gaf to tone it down a bit if you really genuinely think their ribbing is too much?
Yes. And Blackace shouldn't have unlocked the thread and talked to Duckroll about it, honestly. There should probably be a third party for community threads anyway, just to as a "check and balance" for some things that are sliding. I've said it before: Sports-GAF can get away with murder. That's fine with me provided the moderation is fine with it, but in the cases they aren't: Drop it and drop it quickly.
Sports GAF should move on to somewhere else. Ribbing each other is part of the fun. If you can't handle that then you don't fit in. That's fine. It's unreasonable to think you can fit into every community. You really don't have a right to belong to every social circle or group of friends. That's something that's decided by individuals. To force yourself into a social circle in which you clash is not healthy. To moderate in that fashion is pathetic.
But see, that's the thing: 'Lore doesn't want those threads to be insular as per his decree months back. Of course, knowing him, he'll reverse that soon enough.
They got the wrong black mod. It should have been ghost-hunter bish.
Honestly, should be both.
