It bugs me a bit when people wear clothes designed to draw attention to parts of their body that they don't seem to want people looking at. I've watched some students get upset at this, and I find myself shaking my head. It's like... you don't go into a bullfighting ring wearing red, do you? Then why wear clothes designed to get people to look where you don't want them to look? If you wear clothes that say "look at my butt" and then people look at your butt... what, exactly, did you expect to happen?
It made a lot more sense when I realized that at least some of the people involved in this were trying to attract the attention of certain people, and if they got attention from people they weren't trying to attract, they got upset. But, I mean, that's like making a giant sign, and then going "only this one person can look at this giant sign, NOBODY ELSE."
I'm fortunate enough not to have been involved in these altercations. Advantages of not caring about other people's bodies.
I guess what I'm saying is that I should go around wearing yoga pants. My butt is incredible.
