Anyway, I realize that becoming a woman is very big deal and a real stressful time*. A man has a right to change his gender to whatever he wants to change it to, and if a man wants to be called
Muhammad Ali she, goddamit this is a free country, you should respect his wishes and call him
Muhammad Ali she.
VIDEO So I, for one, will make an effort to use the correct pronouns. But I hope Himu will remember that I, and most of the other posters here, have known her as a him for years and years, so we're going to need a bit of patience when we slip up, like when you call someone by their maiden name.
Also, how do we refer to past Himu? Himu's a woman now (or will be soon? haven't been keeping close track), but wasn't always one. So I propose that when addressing Himu of today we use she/her, use he/him when we wax nostalgic and share stories about Pre-Crisis Himu.

*For example two of my friends in middle school got their first periods on a school trip to France and a camping trip respectively, and they were both totes freaked out.
