It's reasonable to assume that somebody who does an attack like this 20 years later (if it is an attack being done) then it makes sense that the person cared about more than just the innocent little children who got killed. He wouldn't wait so long and do it in a civilian area.

It seems like it was an accident, someone linked a story about how old this particular facility is and how there was a fire not too long ago. It wouldn't surprise me if more accidents like this happen since companies are so fucking cheap and the infrastructure of many things is so old and barely maintained.

What's also interesting is the fact that eel has now, whether he likes it or not (probably does) become a playa on the stage of videogames. There are obviously other characters on stage with him, who actively dislike, and are just waiting to pounce on some fuck up.

His travel blog: I think fundamentally he's an ok guy. But videogames can be serious business, and also oleaginous. Keeping gaf together in a socio(the business)business context will get much tougher.

His identity revolves around a video game forum. We joke and jab at people caring too much about GAF, but no poster meltdown would equal Tyler's meltdown if GAF went by the wayside. He makes his living off the forum. He decided to become the face of the forum. His personality is formed by the popular trends of the forum. He feels he should belong to every community in the forum even when he doesn't really fit in. When he finally goes outside and sees the world, he does it to visit other GAFfers. He then runs a journal of his vacation on the forum he should be vacationing away from.

I'm not a friend of the guy. I only interacted with him previously in IRC and on the forum. It's just hard to see any part of him that is independent of GAF.
