Chechnya has the highest concentration of radical Islamists of just about any area in the world. It wouldn't be too sweeping a generation to unilaterally declare this ethnic subset to be the scourge of the earth. They wreaked havoc against school children in Russia not too long ago. I'm usually a proponent of multicultural postmodern relativism, but fuck Chechnya. Shitty fucking people.

Essentially I was bored of all the faux-interest, trolls, cynicism and pages of unreadable drivel/drama on the gaming side -- all that stuff probably exists here, but you're free to get feisty about making your point here, and you can still have fun with it. You don't have to tred on egg shells here, moderation isn't quite as fascist, and there is generally less shit to wade through.
I PM'd duckroll to ask, as a long standing member there, why they were letting some complete arseholes continue to shit up threads, and provided specific examples that I thought neither fun/funny or constructive. I said it wasn't the comments in particular that bothered me but the pages and pages of reaction and counter reaction. Just constant bickering. I suggested that maybe it was the insane user count, or that they were wilfully letting users create drama for clicks, or that they were even in on some of it via mod forums and IRC - because I couldn't see any other explanation for allowing certain people to have their supremely annoying schtik.
I essentially got told "deal with it", and when I saw EviLore engage in what seemed to me like pretty snipey, cynical behaviour himself - I kinda figured, this is why it happens! The man at the top does it! So I took it out on him in the message that got me banned. Even though I'm not going back, I did apologise to EviLore by email (I know I know - but my overall problem wasn't really his fault) and I properly explained why I flipped my shit, and why I don't care about posting there right now after 9+ years. He responded 'Understood'. I dunno, it would be nice if it
was understood.
I feel bad about investing so much time there to be honest too. Still like lots of the people there, loved the meets, I'd go to more of them, but I needed to put a little distance between me, GAF and it's various wind up merchants. I don't have the time or patience any more. Borians are okay, there's less of them and a cunt is a cunt here.
