There isn't generally a good discussion to be had period. He wants to be snarky with "high culture" but where is it? I'm not one to throw "sexism" at something right away but like I said this stuff is just trite shit. Just as other things in games are trite shit. Nothing wrong with being tired of trite shit and the people who defend trite shit, but then you're suddenly an elitist of some kind because god forbid you'd like some games to axe the trite shit. I'm not asking for every game to be compelling, I'm asking for more games to drop the trite shit.

Well, I don't think he's going to take it that way. This crap needs elaboration and careful choice of words, but neither party is usually willing to invest that much, either because it's gone ignored before or because one, the other, or both are happy with the level of 'discourse' (because the topic doesn't warrant more, laziness, it's just about venting frustration, etc.).
I solve the problem by staying out of it, don't feel like tilting at windmills. If you think there's no good discussion to be had it's probably best to just roll your eyes and do something else...? I don't mean to judge you or anything, it's just odd to me.

It finally got me with the "Mexican, not Mexican't" line, but yeah. It played well, but it's nothing special. I like the character design and art direction the most. And that menu music. Everything else is forgettable. Marketing tried so hard to pass it off as a "Suda 51 trip" and bla bla. Sigh.
