It is kinda annoying. I think games should only make early access in beta, I get sick of seeing games in Alpha on Steam, kickstarter that shit.

I think it's tacky. QA should be left to QA testers, not consumers. We should not have to pay to beta test a game. Beta testers should be paid.

Devs not taking QA seriously is why every game these days is riddled with so many bugs at launch.

Most of them are indies, not surprised.

I agree, its a shame what Steam has been reduced to and you can't filter it without using a third party app. its hard to find a full featured PC game these days, its just indie, early access and F2P games these days.

If indie, early access and F2P games are the future of steam, its not something I want to be apart of. I'm the customer here, not the fan, the backer not the friend, Valve should treat steam as a store not kickstarter 2.0.

I think this along with Doge have become the most overused forced things this year.

Both started out fairly amusing in small doses, but run into the ground by people with no humour of their own. A gaf specialty. Got nothing interesting to say? Just post an Antonio gif.  Then we come onto the fact that it's basically shilling for Sony. How many of these gifs were plastered with 'Greatness awaits' in the lead up to launch. And considering 'shilling' was something SonyGaf especially shit it's adult diapers about earlier this year (heck Bishop even conducted mccarthyesque 'investigations' trying to find Xbox 'shills') it's lack of anything critical to say about this particular internet marketing campaign speaks volumes.

And what exactly is wrong with discussing an album that leaked? No one buys albums anymore. So enforcing a no piracy discussion rule for music is distinguished mentally-challenged especially if they aren't throwing out any links.

What about WWE ppvs? No one buys that shit. So I guess we better not have WWE PPV threads.

And that's what I mean about ruining discussion and communities.

Back when I could be bothered posting in the wrestling threads on GAF (mid 2000s?), people were posting huge passages of text from the subscription only Wrestling Observer (weekly rasslin newsletter that is about 20,000 words a week) at a time. So I brought up why was this allowed when it isn't tolerated on the gaming side, and was replied with "LOL butthurt because you pay for it and we're getting it for free".

Not that I really want to encourage this to be a thread where people complain about GAF and I react swiftly to said complaints made publicly and appear to be a lapdog who does what people in this thread demand, but I will note that not a single link has been provided for the movie piracy that Kabouter and I are apparently conveniently ignoring. And for that matter -- though it would require going through the ban record (and I'm not inclined to do so) -- I'm fairly certain that I haven't banned a single person for video game piracy.
