There's two sides to this. There's also the people who think experts and doctors are completely infallible, dietary wisdom doesn't change and doctors aren't quick to throw pills and creams at people rather than tell a person to do X.

Before/after pictures and celebrity advice is hard to ignore, especially when there are other people out there for whom these diets have worked.But think of things from the opposite point of view: if you were someone who had tried dozens of diets and had nothing work, would the paleo diet, the fifteenth perhaps in a line of failures, be something you told all your friends about?
