What the fuck was good about FF12? I can't think of a single outstanding quality. I guess it was better than Xenosaga?
- best dungeons in the series: Pharos, Giruvegan, Stilshrine of Miriam, Henne Mines, Barheim Passage, Tomb of Raithwall
- thorough bestiary
- best boss fights in the series
- mark side quests and ranking system
- battle system - no spell is wasted and is tuned to gameplay and unlike past 3d FF's there's no filler spells, positioning and movement add another layer to a tried and true formula, the tension of going escaping from level 80 monsters, when you're level 50 across entire maps just to scavenge a single item
- customization, you can make whatever you want so long as you follow a rough plan
- open locations that have varied monsters at different levels and interactions
- open ended exploration that allows you to venture into dungeons that have monsters 20-30 levels above you
- exploration in general
- gambits, which erase a lot of the tedium and mundane tied to jrpgs
- excellent dialogue writing that isn't embarrassing unlike most FF's
- extremely well directed scenes:
- fantastic voice acting
- music
- goat ff
