If I only played God of War, the first one, I'd be down with this. In the long run of the series, though, Kratos created considerably more problems for himself and everyone around him just by being a complete fucking psychotic asshole. His revenge on Ares? Sure, justified to an extent. The rest of the series is fucking rage porn, a kind of artistic representation of a shithead teenager who wants to murder everyone around him because the McDonalds guy put onions on his hamburger once and he distinctly asked for NO ONIONS GOD.

Anyone who saw the story through, or even just 1-2-3, and still comes away from that liking Kratos or cheering for him is either brain-damaged or sociopathic. Easily the most unlikable, whiny, shithead of a character in gaming, and this is a hobby with Squall fucking Leonhart in it.

I have only played 1.

To me, God of War was the game that came out the same month DMC3 came out. I played near 50 hours of DMC3 by then and it was pretty much my favorite action game at the time. Then God of War came out and people were like,"omg get god of war". Going from DMC3 to God of War was like going from fucking Mozart to Ke$ha. I didn't like Kratos. He was an asshole who killed without remorse, but he is definitely, in a way, justified for his revenge - at least in that game. Never bothered with the other games because by that point I was sick and tired of fucking westaboos hyping up fucking terrible action games like Mark of the Kri and God of War. Sold it when I beat it and then started Dante Must Die DMC3 and never looked back. Never bought another one since.

Gotta agree with Oscar, having never played 2 or 3 or the rest of the series (despite having 2:HD on teh disc with 1:HD. That's how bad 1:HD's combat is after playing Ninja Gaiden and Devil May Cry for years

) but seeing/reading the story: Kratos is a one-note rage pony that has a certain fanbase while the rest of us just shrug and either play the button mashy combat or ignore it and go play the superior Japanese versions of the genre.

I will always remember God of War getting higher scores than DMC3 - which came out a mere month prior - and gamers crying and wah wah-ing about DMC3's difficulty, especially in chapters like the Agni and Rudra chapter. Aside from the fact that Suikoden was not as popular as Final Fantasy - 20 year old logic - this was when I started to realize GAMERS SUCK.

NFL fans stunt on each other like regular sports fans, but they're far more bearable than NBA fans. NFL fans mostly have a good time. NBA fans - on average - get so fucking emotionally involved - and not in a soccer way - in regards to their team and favorite players it's hilarious.
