I actually use the Steam IM thing quite a bit because of people I met through forums since nobody seems to use MSN or anything else anymore, but now everyone is on Steam for games...also a number of my real life "friends" (since most of them live in other states now) came in for TF2 and L4D2 after TF2 went free and only a few people are still hanging around on AIM.

Though I cleaned out like 90% of the people who just add you after you play with them or whatever that I had clogging up the list, really should just pair it down even further. Usually talk to 15-ish people at least once a week or so though. 

That OP was just so pathetic sounding lol "Are they really my friends?!? Do they even really care about me?!? What a terrible day!" Like real life friends have never stacked pickup game teams or shit like that.

Yeah, he can get around this by simply putting up even a [OFFICIAL REVIEW] tagged thread every now and again, and have like, 2 people act as official NeoGAF reviewers. That would literally change everything for next year, and would cost him either next to nothing or absolutely nothing. It wouldn't even change how the site operates. The press stuff exists for a reason. People there are actually working and need to be able to skip ahead to get hands on time with as many titles as they can. That is their job and people not understanding that is super weird. EvilLore wasn't posting up official reviews of his hands on time with any games, he was posting his selfies with celebs....which is fine, but it's proof positive that he wasn't there in any official capacity. Meaning the decision to not give him a press pass was absolutely the correct one.

1. Jet Set Radio HD and Space Channel Five HD did not sell well.

2. Shenmue 1+2 have a licensed engine. And it's not worth the cost if returns aren't guaranteed.

My first E3 I got in as media, but the only "perk" was that I was able to get in two hours early on the first day. I wasn't allowed access to the press conferences or any of the panels or do anything remotely fun/useful that you would think having a media badge would allow you to do. The reason for that is that there's two types of media badges, one for the really big name outlets like IGN, Gamespot, etc. and one for all the lame, insignificant game bloggers. Guess which one I was?
