See that's why I don't believe you. If you had tasted legit fried catfish you'd be pussy popping with the rest of us. But nah. For instance my mom can't cook pot roast to save her life, yet you wouldn't hear me say "pot roast is horrible." I know that if Gus invited me to his house, Steve Contra could no doubt cook us a great pot roast. Likewise if my mom, Esch, Positive Touch, or just about anyone cooked you some fried catfish you'd love it.

Never tried catfish but I'm not morally opposed to it. I enjoy all meats equally. Well, venison and swordfish are a bit lower on the list.

Cod? Pork? Steak? Chicken? Muscles? Lobster?

But I had catfish in Texas a couple years ago! And it was great; way better than the crayfish actually, which seemed way more popular (the graduation party I went to for my cousin had ordered a shit ton of that stuff, alongside corn cob and boiled potatoes). Granted I did like the crayfish but if you give me a choice between that and fried fish imma go with the fish 10 outta 10 times.

I have never made fried catfish, but I made some very good fried tilapia a couple months ago.

It doesn't matter who makes the catfish. I hate catfish. I find catfish only tolerable with a bunch of hot sauce. I've been eating catfish my whole life. I just don't like it.

It's easy. You snap take apart the legs, then you put your thumb on the belly, index on top of the neck, then push the belly like it's a button, then suck. Takes 3 seconds. You can eat a shit load of crawfish in a few minutes.

TBH I just don't like most fish. I'm more of a land animal person. Don't know why. But when it comes to seafood, shrimp, octopus, salmon, tuna, crab, lobster, and squid are my choices. Most fish are gross. But I tolerate tilapia. I legitimately enjoy salmon and tuna, but hate catfish.

A lady friend I met while in New York went on a trip during memorial day. she started in san francisco bay area and then took the train to seattle. She said bay area wasn't diverse. I didn't believe her because the billion times i've been to oakland/sf/san jose is one of the most diverse areas in the country but I've not been since 2006, so what do I know? She said Seattle is diverse and has lots of different people, but I've never been to Seattle and everything indicates otherwise. I just don't know what to believe anymore! I'll visit them soon enough.

well the bay area seems to be getting less diverse all the time. west oakland is rapidly gentrifying and sf is like a gated community now.
