I had pork schnitzel covered with cheese and a mushroom gravy. Potato pancakes, applesauce and spatzle on the side.

Hubs had sauerbraten. Baby ate pretty much everything and was in love. Although we have yet to find a food she doesn't like.... lol she's a skinny foodie.
When I was staying in Germany, they made all sorts of food for us, but honestly, I think I ate more Italian food while I was there than traditional German food. We did eat a ton of schweineruckensteak which is a lot like our pork steaks in STL (more meat and less fat), and we had a few schnitzels, so that's easy. But I specifically remember this soup with white asparagus, cubes of scrambled eggs (that were baked in a casserole dish beforehand and cut into cubes), and little meatballs. Omg. It was a broth soup, but I have no clue what kind of broth.
They also had this cake, but it wasn't super sweet like our cakes (obviously). It was baked in a loaf pan and instead of frosting, they melted sugar and poured it over the top of the cake so that it made this sweet hard shell.
I ate like 6-7 times a day there and lost 10 pounds. It was amazing.
