Imma post my collection when I get a chance.
The Playstation is what started me on import games, too- before I couldn't fathom paying the insane prices for Super Famicom games. But finding out that Street Fighter Zero was coming out in December '95 got me to pay like $90 for it. I even got two other imports (that Konami Live Power Pro baseball game and the Twinbee Collection, both used so they were like $40 each) before that came out.
I think the most I ever paid for a Playstation game was $120 (lol) for the Japanese version of Tekken 2. It came out like 10 months earlier than the American version and a shortage drove the prices up. I actually pre-paid $110 for it and was told they had to jack the price up another $10 when I picked it up. I went back to the car and asked my dad for $10; he totally lost it and wanted to go scream at those guys for ripping off a teenager. The funny thing is that months later, I ended up working at that game shop.

I built up my PS1 collection twice. Had everything I wanted in 1998, but sold everything off to pay off a debt (TO the game store for buying too many games on layaway!

) of almost $1000, IIRC. It took me pretty much a decade after that to get everything back again. The only thing I was missing ended up being the Metal Gear Solid Japanese limited edition, but I didn't care about getting that back.
Landstalker's viewpoint makes it a pain to play.
