I find Quiet's outfit a lot more ridiculous. At least with Fortune, it's in the same area of western comic books with her leotard, as she's wearing far more clothes than Quiet.

Metal Gear's been tacky in this regard for awhile. It was funny in 3. "Oh haha of course the boss is looking at Eva and of course a feme fatale has giant cleavage!

But in 4 you had strange camera angles on not just the skin tight Beauties , but even on Mei Ling's ass as she comically dropped something during her briefing. Oh is'nt she so cute! Hell, there's giant cleavage Naomi. Remember her, the doctor who was basically wearing a sweater in 1? Not only does she have cancer, but she's got a giant rack now too and she's not afraid to show if off!. Hell, now the sweater's on Rose, who won't bore you as much because you can shake her boobs as powered by Sixaxis!

And in PW there's entire character who all I can remember about her is that she's randomly in the forest and you can play with her boobs.

Quiet's outfit is dumb. Why is a Sniper in a desert even wearing stockings? Hell I can deal with her having little up top, because fine you can justify it because it's hot or something. The stockings are dumb and I don't see the point, it would even make more sense to just wear short shorts or something. But whatever, MGS is a series that lost most of it's dignity a while ago anyway.

And I don't mention the ACid games, because those a strange anyway so I don't care about the fanservice in 2.

But Fourtane's outfit seems just as dumb. To be honest, I never saw her as sexy or anything. I don't think that was the intent as it is with Quiet seemingly. But still why is a girl using a railgun basically in a swimsuit? I have no idea and in general I don't even bother to question what comes out of Japan anymore.

I completely agree Rah. Metal Gear lost its shit a long time ago in terms of grounded character designs - well, as far as you can get with a franchise with cyborg ninjas - but holy fuck something about Quiet, man.

this only happens when a single guard has seen you, when multiple guards catch you it instantly goes to alert. I think this is a smart way to deal with the problem you run into when you try to do a no-alert run, get seen by just one guard and have to reset. Even though I got used to it by the end of MGS3 it was really frustrating to deal with how easily you can go to full alert in the beginning.

The health regen could be anything, MGS3 and 4 had health regen based on your stamina meter.

Mmmno. If a guard spotted you in MGS3 or 4, it instantly went to full alert. It was only in MGS2 that they'd run away and radio in. Regardless, the gameplay footage we saw at E3 looked like the same style of detail-driven stealth gameplay the series is known for.

And I'd stop worrying about whether or not Kojima knows what he's doing. He doesn't.

If you grabbed or killed a guard fast enough the alert would stop before going full.
