I remember a reason Snyder got the Superman job was a matter of timing.  You had Duncan Jones in talks to do it, but his version would've taken longer or something.  After Man of Steel I thought other talent would be brought in, but I guess Avengers changed all that.

I watched Flashpoint today; definitely not a comedy, so they could do something like that to make it fit in the universe, though its not a good idea for an intro flash movie either.  The biggest flash problem is all his villain's are silly.

I really have trouble taking people seriously when they suggest Batman can beat Superman, easily or not.  It would go like this: Round one, f- oh, look, Batman's in the fucking sun.  There is no other way that fight ends. 

You're exactly right about the plot of the movie, though.

That's why I like how the cartoon handled it.  Superman lets Batman throw him across the room, then shoulder checks him into a wall, calls him stupid, and looks through his mask to see who he is.  Batman uses kryptonite to sneak away, like a coward.  But this is Batman, so he has a plan b: sleep with Lois Lane as Bruce Wayne.

Snyder doesn't exactly have restraint and with citing DKR, we'll probably get a scene of Batman smacking Superman around with no real explanation as to how.  The real question is how much will they play up the gay innuendo once they team up.  Avengers was pretty successful with Tony and Banner.

Did anyone see the Dark Knight Returns Part 2 Cartoon? The fight between Superman and Batman there was pretty good and it was expanded from the comic. Though it made sense there how Batman was at least able to fight, not sure how MoS Superman is going to be able to fight Batman.

But either way, I'm excited for the movie.

Batman vs Superman can work. A fight between them is never a fight to the death, it's always Superman trying to subdue Batman and Batman trying to graft and trick his way out of getting fucked in all five holes. Thanks to Superman being just that bit more of a pussy than Batman, it's an easy fight to set out.

IMO it depends on what people mean by one of them "beating" the other.

Contest of strength/fighting? Well no fucking duh Supes would win. He's a radioactive alien powerhouse.

Usually when talking about a movie though, it's about one of them "besting" each other -- prevailing over the other in some way other than raw strength. In that case it's pretty much a toss up although writers will always favor Batman in that situation.

That wasn't the writers, Himu-chan.  That was an executive wondering why DC's team had all their most popular heroes but Marvel's team was missing their big two. 

I'm actually legit thankful Wolverine and Spider-Man can't be a part of the film Avengers.  Aside from the little cheat of keeping Hulk around, the film Avengers are all core Avengers, and it's been nice to see them succeed when most people thought they couldn't.

In time Disney will own everything and we'll get a super movie that fans have been asking for.  Although movies will get so expensive that summer will be Justice League vs X-Avengers, Star Wars LVIII, and Avatar 3.

Yes, a team he's always clashed with, sure. So Wolverine joining two or even three more teams - when a part of his entire shtick is that he's NOT a people person - is an extremity. Maybe if you have't been paying attention to X-book storylines you may think that Wolvie gets along just jolly fine with people, but that's not the truth. He's not much of a team player and he's close to very few people in X-Men books despite being a part of the team. Wolverine is like Raphael, he does his own thing even if he's part of the group; he's an individual.

He vouched for Psylocke during her entire Asian body thing.

He's trained sidekick characters like Armor, Kitty, and Jubiliee.

During New X-men, he pretty much vouched and supported most of the characters. I mean no one else ran after Scott after his affair got out.

He was willing to create X-Force and do Scott's dirty work because at that time he believed in Scott and even continued to run it with Angel because they both felt it was needed for the team.

Even before the Schism he was behind Scott and in Consequences he wasn't exactly judgmental of Scott though everyone's frogetten that.

Yeah as far as the X-men would go, maybe a team player isn't the right word, but he's pretty loyal and carring for people. Hell he even seems to be ok with Gambit. He may be his own man, but I don't know about loner. He didn't seem to be that much in later 80s stories. Just the tough dude.

Thats the only reason I don't seem him being on the Avengers. Because he's pretty loyal to the X-men and while he's a part of that team, he's not afraid to make the hard choice when it comes to things. I don't see him as a heroic figure.

The general point is that despite being a part of the X-Men, Wolverine has always been depicted as kind of isolated from the team. No amount of sidekicks and girlfriends changes that. Especially when we talk about his own specific book line, he is very often depicted as a loner and not a team player, despite being on so many teams. Wolverine will go off by himself for weeks without a hint of where he's traveling, I'm not seeing how you can debate this.

But it ultimately comes down to who's writing the books at the mo.

I'm not arguing that he dosen't like to handle his own business or do his own thing, but you questioned why he his even on teams. The ONE time I really liked a Bat vs Supes scenario was in the comics when Bats had a bomb placed on 'an innocent civilian' and had a kind of barrier around himself so if Supes came near him the bomb would kill said civilian. That's always the realm their altercations should stay in.
