Week 6 thoughts on the Ducks:
I think the cold & altitude of the Colorado game gassed our defense and offense initially. Colorado was able to throw some double reverse pass TDs and was tearing through our D line which was giving up 30+ yards more often than necessary. It was a typical slow start in the first quarter, which thankfully aside from LSU or Boise State has never really fucked us up in the past few years.
Things definitely started to turn around in the second when Colorado's defense showed they're not conditioned for 8-second plays and Mariota's ability to run. Tyner got his 5th TD, which is amazing for a third-string RB who just turned 19. He's the fastest person on the team, and apparently even faster than LaMichael James, who at the time was the fastest person in the entire NCAA. Tyner plans on running in the Olympics in Rio.
Mariota's completion % once again looked a bit messy, but he made up for with more rushing yards than usual. He's still looking like a very healthy Heisman candidate.
DAT was once again out for the week, but we made up for it with the powerful lineup of Addison, Mundt, Tyner, and Marshall. We're good to go until we really need him in the Stanford and UCLA games.
